Six Month Smiles
What are Six Month Smiles?
The Six Month Smiles system uses a series of tooth-colored brackets and clear wiring to straighten teeth in roughly six months. It is considered to be one of the quickest and easiest ways to straighten teeth. If you have spaced, crooked, or crowded teeth, and are over the age of 16, you are a good candidate for this treatment option offered by our office. Because Six Month Smiles uses clear brackets and wires, it is relatively discreet, and can be difficult to notice when you smile.
Why do you need Six Month Smiles?
You may need Six Month Smiles if you are looking to correct orthodontic problems and bite issues, without having to wear braces for years. Most braces need to be worn for a minimum of one year. With Six Month Smiles, you’re able to completely straighten your teeth, and fall in love with your smile in just six months. This is a great choice for people who want a beautiful smile for an upcoming event, such as a wedding or reunion.
What makes you a good candidate for Six Month Smiles?
You must be over the age of 16 to be considered a candidate for Six Month Smiles. If you are younger, or if your child is younger than 16, other orthodontic options will still be available. It is also important that you have a consultation prior to assuming Six Month Smiles is right for you. Only with the help of a consultation will we be able to determine if this treatment is the right option to meet your orthodontic needs.
What can you expect during the procedure for Six Month Smiles?
You will first come in for a consultation involving an exam and series of x-rays. The x-rays and exam are used to create your personalized treatment plan. You will then have clear braces attached to your teeth, and clear wiring used to apply pressure to them. You will need to come in regularly to have these wires adjusted to continue treatment. In order for Six Month Smiles to work in six months, you must come to each of your scheduled appointments. We are here to help answer any questions you may have regarding this orthodontic procedure.
