COVID-19 Safety Precautions

In response to COVID-19, our practice has developed several protocols and procedures to help to create a safe environment for all of our patients and team members. Safety is our top concern and we are taking every precaution to provide the safest conditions for our patients, our team, and our families.

– For the past month our dedicated team has been conducting virtual meetings and trainings weekly. We brought our team back for one week of paid full time hours of training before opening our doors. We have spent this time implementing great systems and protocols protocols and new office policies to take our services to the next level and provide the highest quality of care in a safe and comfortable environment.

– Our extensive team training and education has given us the opportunity to reinforce what we have always done when it comes to sterilization and infection controls, as well as implement additional steps to make sure that every patient can be assured a safe dental experience.

– We are very excited to announce that our practice will be opening as of Tuesday, May 19th for a wider spectrum of dental care. We have been working diligently to replenish our supplies, so that we are ready with a new schedule in place that ensures the safety and comfort for both team and patients, as we return to full care and service.
– Our team is now reaching out to patients who have had to cancel their appointments due to the shut down as well as patients who are currently scheduled in the up-coming months to confirm new appointments that promote social distancing mandates and protect our most vulnerable. Our new scheduling options are designed to address individual oral healthcare needs and maintain a safe and sterile environment.

– Screening questionnaires will be texted to all patients prior to their appointment. Patients must answer and submit screening questions prior to being seen, as well as completing the HIPAA Compliant online forms (provide link to online forms).
– Upon arrival at our office, patients are asked to text us at (919) 977-7438 to let us know they have arrived. Patients and their guests will be required to wait in their vehicles in lieu of the waiting room. We will notify you via text when we’re ready for you.

– Patients will have their temperature taken with an infrared thermometer prior to being seen.
– Patients must complete registration forms online prior to their appointment (New patient forms, etc.) (provide link).

– We will meet you at the door and avoid the reception area and go straight back to a clean and sterilized treatment room.

– Each patient is required to use provided hand sanitizer upon arrival, before entering our facility, and it will be available throughout the office for your convenience.

– We have installed Plexiglass guards in our reception desk area for added safety.

– The chairs and tables in the reception area are being wiped down hourly.

– We are not allowing additional guests to accommodate patients (unless necessary in certain circumstances) and preventing time being spent in the waiting room.
– We have an air purifier in each treatment room for your safety.

– Before any dental treatment, patients will be asked to pre-rinse with a medicated mouthwash.

– Our staff will be undergoing daily screening protocol and wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times in the office.

– We have enhanced our safety precautions for our patients and our team members such as high suction tools to minimize aerosol and KN95 and level 3 masks in addition to face shield and disposable or washable gowns, surgical caps and booties.
– Additional time has been scheduled between appointments for a thorough and deep cleaning of the treatment room before the next patient can be safely treated.

– In addition to our thorough disinfecting protocols, we have invested in a UV-C LED wand which is great as a “second cleaning” source after autoclaving and more traditional cleanings of instruments. The UV-C LED disinfecting wand is designed to eliminate up to 99.9% of the harmful germs, virus and bacteria in your surroundings

– Please use hand sanitizers at check out and if you may need a pen, we will give you one to keep :).

– Maintain social distancing with 6 feet or more with other patients and our front office team.

– Our virtual merchant allows for a no contact check-out process. We can email you your receipts and invoices.
– We’re offering new financial arrangements to help ensure affordable care.

– We can email you your treatment plans with the offered payment options.

– We also offer a text-to-pay option for your convenience.

– If you experience a fever or any COVID-19 symptoms within 14 days after your appointment, please call us and let us know.

– Tell your friends and family about your visit. We will provide the same healthy environment for them to have any necessary treatment completed.
